Portfolio Photographs

From a published review of my work following the opening of a gallery showing in Santa Fe:

The objects being photographed are not the focus of the work, but are used to capture the distortions of light that bombard all we see and turn what we see into distortions of what we know, or think we know, about the world.

Water becomes a mirror of a tree that is hidden from view and the water turns the tree into an apparition of the idea of the tree that we can only suppose is really there in the first place. †It's a little confusing, a lot challenging, and absolutely serene, all at the same complicated time.

Seen from a distance, Neighbour's photographs don't always convey the everyday object, but decreasing scope shows the true nature of, well, nature.
