Each medium I work with influences the others; perhaps nowhere more so than with digital painting.  Here I set free the scientist in me to experiment beyond the purely representational or photorealist style.  I can be wildly inventive by distorting, combining, and fragmenting images to produce surreal or other-worldly paintings, and I am empowered by the great innovations of our time to do so.

For this work, I use new computer software that enables the artist to paint and draw using a mouse or digitizer pad and a computer to emulate natural media such as chalk, pastel, watercolor, and oils. Corel Painter is a remarkable tool capable of producing images that are largely indistinguishable from those done with conventional media.

Shown here is a selection of digital paintings created exclusively with a computer. Using my imagination or photographs as inspirational source material, I have painted portraits, animals, landscapes, and still lifes.

Each is available as an archival fine art pigment print on paper or canvas.
